Sam Wong is not a career politician, he is a mission driven leader.
A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with nearly 30 years of honorable service, Sam is a third generation veteran who has spent his entire adult life defending the American way of life. From leading combat troops in the Middle East to overseeing critical peacekeeping missions across Europe, Africa, and Asia, Sam has consistently delivered results at every level of command.
In the Army, there is no room for partisan excuses, only accountability. Sam has spent decades making high stakes decisions under intense pressure to protect American lives and interests. He is running for Congress to bring that same level of seriousness, integrity, and discipline to Washington.
For Sam, the mission has always come before the politics.
PROVEN LEADERSHIP
Sam Wong didn’t just observe global events, he shaped them. As a senior officer within the U.S. Intelligence Community representing the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Sam was a vital link in our national defense, advising over 100 U.S. Embassy Defense Attaché Offices across the globe. His strategic oversight ensured that American military readiness and foreign policy remained unopposed on the world stage.
In an era defined by global competition, Sam stands as a recognized authority on the Chinese military and emerging technological threats. Having lived and worked in China, he has authored the critical intelligence assessments used by our nation's top decision makers. Sam brings an "early warning" mindset to Congress, ready to identify and neutralize threats to our economy and our security before they reach our shores.

With Chinese and Peruvian roots, his family history is defined by those who escaped communist regimes to find freedom, built small businesses through grit, and passed down a legacy of military service and faith.
Sam doesn't just talk about the dangers of authoritarianism, he lived the mission to stop them.
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish, he has a unique, first-hand understanding of how global trade and foreign policy impact the American worker.
After 28 years in the Army, Sam knows that America’s strength lies in our shared values of hard work and personal responsibility, not the division of identity politics.
He is running to ensure the same land of opportunity that welcomed his family remains secure for yours.

After retiring, Sam has become a pillar of Northern Virginia with his volunteer actions.
